I'm Kat Hammer, and I've spent more than 30 years serving my community through social work, education, and advocacy. I'm running for Bastrop County Precinct 4 Commissioner as a write-in candidate because I believe our community deserves transparent, accountable, and accessible leadership. I want to ensure residents have a real voice in county government, that taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly, that tax abatements don't occur without consulting residents, and that every decision is made with our community's best interests at heart.

Precinct 4 is one of the fastest-growing areas in Bastrop County, stretching across communities like Elgin, McDade, and surrounding rural areas. It's a unique mix of small-town neighborhoods, family farms, ranches, and rapidly developing communities. Residents care deeply about protecting our rural character while planning responsibly for growth. From maintaining roads and infrastructure to preserving water resources, supporting public safety, and ensuring government remains transparent and accountable, the decisions made for Precinct 4 directly impact our daily lives. Make a Plan to Write-in KAT HAMMER

It's critical to my campaign that you DO NOT cast a straight ticket vote! You must select the Bastrop County Commissioner, Precinct 4 race. Next, you will see "Write-In". Mark that bubble and a keyboard will pop up. This is where you type "KAT HAMMER". It takes a little extra time, however it's what needs to be done to assure transparent representation.
